Established in 1837, the Clarenceville School District is one of the original neighborhood school districts in the State of Michigan. The District currently is implementing a roof replacement program and a facilities assessment to maintain and improve its buildings.
Plante Moran CRESA is assisting the District by providing project management services for the roof replacement program, and performing the district-wide building assessment program to identify and prioritize future needs.
Challenges
Maintenance Management: Clarenceville Schools needs to manage maintenance at its five buildings proactively to minimize disruption and associated costs.

Solutions
Plante Moran CRESA is assisting Clarenceville Schools by providing project management services for its district roof replacement program. As part of this project, roof-top mechanical systems and sky lights were evaluated; 62 obsolete mechanical units were removed, and 75 leaking sky lights were covered. PMC managed the selection process for the architect and roofing contractor, and now is providing project management services. PMC also is performing a facilities assessment to guide the District in prioritizing future maintenance needs.
