 Three Commercial Real Estate Veterans Join Plante Moran Cresa

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – June 11, 2012 – Plante Moran Cresa, a fully integrated independent real estate transaction and consulting firm, announces Ronald J. Gantner, CPA, Erica Holton, J.D. and Mike Carl have joined the Transaction Ma​nagement Team. The announcement was made by Cam McCausland, Plante Moran Cresa partner and director of transaction management.

“The Michigan commercial real estate market holds more opportunities for tenants than any time in recent memory,” said McCausland. “With the addition of Ron, Erica and Mike, Plante Moran Cresa will continue to strengthen its leadership in tenant-only representation, advocating exclusively on behalf of our clients.”
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Ron Gantner joins Plante Moran Cresa as a partner. Previously, he was executive vice president and Michigan market leader at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he completed more than 8.5 million square feet of real estate transactions in the last seven years. He earned recognition as one of Jones Lang LaSalle’s "Top Achievers” from 2008 to 2011 and was also named a CoStar Power Broker from 2008 to 2011. Previous to Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Gantner was a senior vice president with Trammell Crow. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He is a board member of the Metro Detroit YMCA and the Michigan State University Football Players Association and is a graduate of Leadership Detroit XXIV. He is also a member of CoreNet and a former member of the board of trustees for the Downtown Detroit Partnership.

Erica Holton joins Plante Moran Cresa as vice president of transaction management. Previously, she was senior vice president and co-leader of Michigan markets brokerage at Jones Lang LaSalle, where she executed complex real estate transactions and managed real estate portfolios for Fortune 500 clients. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, she was a broker at Trammell Crow and spent two years as National Transaction Manager on the Volkswagen of America and Lear accounts. Ms. Holton began her career as an attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher specializing in tax and real estate law. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Mike Carl joins Plante Moran Cresa as a senior associate of transaction management. Previously, he was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle. In 2011 alone, Mr. Carl was involved in more than 1.25 million square feet of completed transactions, earning him recognition as one of the firm's "Top Achievers". In 2009 and 2011, he was named a CoStar Power Broker. Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Carl was employed by the Detroit Tigers. He holds bachelor's degrees in sports management and communications and a master's degree in kinesiology, all from the University of Michigan, where he was a five-year member of the football team.

Plante Moran Cresa now has 36 staff members focused on providing fully integrated real estate services, including corporate real estate transactions, tenant representation, project management and strategic real estate consulting.
